Description
This position starts on October 26th.
As a Timberline Shuttle Driver, you are part of a team that is responsible for the safety and enjoyment of our shuttle guests between Government Camp and Timberline Lodge.
Your responsibilities will be to assist guests in loading and unloading onto a passenger shuttle bus, safely drive shuttle in all kinds of inclement weather, have the know-how and understand driving on snow covered roads with chains, maintain your CDL license, problem solve, use sound judgement, constant situational awareness, and hold to a pleasant and approachable demeanor with the guests and fellow employees.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain safe speeds up and down the mountain while keeping the shuttle service on scheduleAssist guests with loading and unloading of vehiclePerform inspections of vehicle before and after every tripInstall safety chains when requiredMaintain all necessary DOT driver's logsRemoval of snow and ice before vehicle is put into serviceClean inside and outside of vehicle after every shiftCheck and replenish fluids and fuels required to operate vehicle(s).Report for Drug & Alcohol Screenings as regulated by Oregon DOT QUALIFICATIONS: Must have Class C Commercial Driver's License with "P" Passenger EndorsementHigh School completion or equivalencyMust have valid driver's license and be an approved Timberline driver.Must be flexible with shifts, hours and scope of work.Must be able to work weekends and holidaysMust be safety conscious, ensuring safety of guests and fellow employees.Must have adequate eyesight for driving, computer and paper work.Must have good communication and people skills.Must have strong customer service skills.Must have a good attitude and ability to be flexible. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbsMust be able to assist guests in loading and unloadingMust have a safety conscious attitudeMust be able to work in snow, icy, uneven and slippery conditions.Must be able to work in extreme conditions including but not limited to snow, sun, cold, wind and rain.Must be able to work long hours and maintain high energy.
