Title: Cellar Operator

Salary Range: $20-25/hour
Job Overview:
Hendler Family Brewing Company is seeking a Cellar Operator to join our production team.
This position requires previous cellaring experience and offers the opportunity to train on key processes, including operating the GEA Westfalia GSC60, using the Braukon CIP skid, yeast propagation, and dry hopping.
You will be an essential part of our brewing operations, working closely with other departments and ensuring high-quality production standards.
Essential Duties:
Participate in all cellar operations including, but not limited to: Hop handling, yeast harvesting, transferring beer, dry hopping, CIP cycles, CIP under pressure, and general cleaning/organizing.
Ensure that all beer is produced to QA standards and recipes.
Be comfortable interacting with many different departments and individuals within the production department and throughout the company.
Ensure that all beer is produced to QA standards and recipes.
Perform quality control of beer throughout the fermentation and packaging processes.
Follow record keeping for brewing, cellaring, and other related actions as required.
Observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials in a safe and responsible manner.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times.
Operate forklifts and other machinery.
Other responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience in a cellar position within the brewing industry.
Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Ekos or other inventory management software is a plus.
Strong team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team-oriented environment.
Problem-solving skills, initiative, and effective communication abilities.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Multilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) is a plus.
Knowledge of the craft beer market and appreciation of the industry culture.
Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
Physical work includes climbing stairs, entering tanks, and handling hoses.
Able to work in a brewery environment with varying conditions including wet, hot, cold, and loud settings.
Knowledge of and ability to safely work with chemicals used in brewing.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and lift/move over 50 pounds with or without assistance.
