This exciting medical leadership opportunity with a vibrant and diverse community health center in the Baltimore County area.
Our Rosedale facility is our newly established center providing primary care, behavioral health, and OBGYN services to an underserved population.
Must have experience supervising physicians, overseeing clinical operations, and providing strategic direction.
Must be board certified in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, or OBGYN.
The Center Medical Director will provide direct patient care for a minimum of 16 hours per week.
Provides counsel to providers on practice issues including utilization, referral and prescribing patterns, productivity level, chart documentation, and patient panel management.
Works with center management on optimizing patient panels and panel management of the center's providers.
Anticipates changes in provider staffing, patient needs, & facility needs and plans accordingly.
Understands and articulates Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) principles and ensures that the center adheres to principles and policies associated with PCMH (e.g.
Pre-visit planning, huddles, care management, same-day patient access, performance improvement).
Actively works with the center management team to maintain and upgrade office morale, teamwork, and productivity.
Actively seeks feedback from center staff and patients and works to improve center operations and performance based on staff and patient feedback.
RequirementsMaryland Physician License Board Certification in Primary Care Specialty or OBGYN 6+ years of clinical and supervisory experience Community Health experience and familiarity with the PCMH model are strongly preferred Must have a passion for serving where the need is the greatest
