Job Description Summary Provides medical oversight to Medical Staff Associates, including the training of other physicians and Medical Staff Associates.
Usually serves as the primary center physician registered as the Laboratory Director with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Job Responsibilities Serves as the primary physician for reporting to the FDA and provides medical oversight in compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations.Assures that CLIA/COLA training and proficiency testing takes place.Maintains high medical standards and ensures adherence to cGMPs through involvement with center management.Provides medical oversight to Medical Staff Associates, including their training and evaluation for certification.Reviews and signs Medical Staff Associates notebooks weekly.Meets with Medical Staff Associates monthly to discuss medically related topics.Acts as a liaison between the Corporate or Divisional Medical Director and the Center Medical Staff.Responds to donor suitability questions and conducts confidential interviews.Maintains confidentiality with respect to employee, donor, and center records.Reviews moderate and severe medical incident reports prior to donor resumption.Monitors donor clinical response to immunizations, if applicable.Determines donor suitability following adverse reactions in consultation with the Corporate or Divisional Medical Director.May perform Center Physician functions, including notifying donors of unsuitable test results.Performs additional services as requested by the company.Education MD or DO degree from an accredited medical or osteopathic school.
