FNEI has developed two Endowment Funds which provides support to the Francis A. Metcalfe Scholarship and the Jose Milton Performing Arts Center.
In 2021-22, the FNEI Scholarship was awarded. $90,000.00 was raised to give $1,300.00 scholarships to college-bound, Miami-Dade County Public Schools' High School students.
In 2023, FNEI is working on opening two new Computer Labs. These computer labs will be equipped with all new technology to help students in providing a better learning experience.
FNEI Raised over $500,000 at the 2023 FTLOL Gala to fund District initiatives, such as the Cultural Passport, student scholarships, and computer labs.
FNEI and M-DCPS supported the 2022 Summer Youth Internship Program for the seventh consecutive year. With the support of the County, The Children's Trust, and Career Source, over $5 Million was received to support almost 2,700 student internships.
Since 2016, FNEI has raised over $310,000 for participating schools in the Superintendent's 5K Challenge - Race for Education. At the 8th annual Superintendent's 5k Challenge - A Race for Education on March 2023, there were over 4,500 participants who raced and raised over $95,000. Proceeds are shared with participating M-DCPS Schools.
