Certified Addictions Counselor

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Addiction Counselor to join our team.
The ideal candidate will provide counseling and support to individuals struggling with addiction, helping them on their path to recovery.
Duties - Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' needs - Develop and implement individualized treatment plans - Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive change - Lead group therapy sessions to address addiction-related issues - Provide crisis management and intervention when necessary - Offer mental health counseling and behavior management strategies - Document patient progress and treatment outcomes accurately - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care Requirements - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or related field - Certification in addiction counseling or related field preferred - Experience in addiction medicine and PTSD care is a plus - Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations and developing treatment plans - Strong understanding of group therapy dynamics and patient care principles - Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with clients - Knowledge of medical documentation standards and ethical guidelines - Ability to handle crisis situations with empathy and professionalism Job Types: Full-time, Contract Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year Benefits: Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Professional development assistance Schedule: 8 hour shift Work Location: In person
