Catholic Health Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation, located within St. Charles Hospital, offers one of the most comprehensive CARF-accredited services for outpatient rehabilitation found in a single location anywhere on Long Island.
It is a premier resource for Long Islanders who need speech, occupational and physical therapy.
Our patients have convenient access to the hospital's radiology and laboratory testing as well as access to a team of physiatrists and other specialty physicians.
Our therapists also excel in rehabilitation for orthopedic and sports medicine injuries as well as for surgeries such as joint replacement and Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction.
In addition to the below, the Physical Therapist will collaborate with our interdisciplinary treatment team to continue to enhance and streamline our lymphedema center service line.
Responsibilities: Assessment, treatment of the lymphedema patient delivered with knowledge of patient growth and development and are appropriate to the ages of the patients served.
Evaluation of the lymphedema patient and development of appropriate treatment plan and progression according to the principles and practices of physical therapy and lymphedema management.
Provide treatment of patients in accordance with departmental standards of operation while observing specially indicated precautions.
Provide treatment in accordance with referring physician orders and in accordance with the scope of practice for a physical therapist.
Requirements: Education: Minimum Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy.
DPT preferred.
Lymphedema certification and/or experience is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: New York State PT license and registration or valid temporary license.
BLS certification.
