We are currently recruiting a Certified Medical Assistant for our OB/GYN office in Sewell NJ.
Shifts are M-F position. NO WEEKENDS!
Hours rotating with the flexibility of at least two evenings Monday-Thursday; Fridays are always daytime hours.
Per the guidance of Axia Women's Health patient protocol and care center physicians, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) professionally engages Axia Women's Health patients by assisting with patient care, recording critical patient information, and providing information to patients so that they may fully utilize and benefit from our clinical services.
Essential Functions: Preparing exam/procedure rooms between patient visits, adhering to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) guidelines and standardized quality control methods – Per infection control protocols, cleaning rooms, setting up instruments and equipment, and maintaining and cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program.Accompanying patients to exam/procedure room, assisting as needed with walking transfers or dressing.Maintaining patient records by accurately recording patient medical history, vital statistics, medications, etc., and obtaining and scanning any lab or radiology reports, as well as any hospital notes into the EMR in order that the provider may have complete patient information.Performing venipuncture and collecting specimens as needed.Assisting provider with various procedures and screenings.Relaying instructions and pertinent information to patients.Completing forms/requisitions as needed to ensure patient records are accurate and that claims can be properly billed.Adhering to Patient Confidentiality Policies and HIPAA regulations.Qualities and Skills: Positive and professional attitude.Strong attention to detail.Successful ability to work with teams across the business to maximize the impact of the overall business effort.Ability to work a flexible schedule at 40 hours/week and work at satellite location in Piscataway, NJ as scheduled when needed.Experience and Education: High School Diploma or GED.Current national certification as a Medical Assistant, such as CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, required.CPR certification, required.Minimum 1 year of recent medical assistant experience in a medical facility/office or combination of experience and documented evidence of medical assistant internship.OB/GYN or Women's Health experience, preferred.Full-Time Benefits Summary: Full-time benefit eligibility beginning the first of the month after hire.Choice of multiple medical insurance plans to best meet your needs, with premiums as low as $8 per pay.401(k).Generous PTO offering with additional time off for volunteering.Access to Axia providers at little to no cost through Axia's medical insurance.Axia-paid life insurance, short-term and long-term disability.Free counseling for colleagues and family members, including parents and parents-in-law.Additional insurance options including dental, vision, supplemental life insurance, FSA, HSA, identity theft, long term care, pet insurance and more!At Axia Women's Health, we're passionate about creating a community where our colleagues and patients feel empowered to be their full, authentic selves.
