The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) will provide nursing care to patients and assist them in daily activities such as bathing, eating, and toileting. The ideal Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) candidate is dependable, compassionate, punctual, and enjoys helping others. This person must be reliable, empathetic, and be able to work with all types of people. Responsibilities: Patient care – The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) instills confidence and trust in patients in a competent and caring manner. Provide hygiene and daily living assistance. This could include toileting, bathing, and assisting patients with showers. Support the patient with meals as needed. Ambulate, turn, and position patients as required.Professional development – The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) maintains any specialized training and, if applicable, perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned patient or area. NPVMC provides the most up-to-date medical campus in Southeastern Wyoming. In addition to a 24-hour emergency room, NPVMC will offer advanced imaging capabilities, including ultrasound, X-Ray, digital mammography, CT, Dexa Scan and mobile MRI capabilities. It features an inpatient pharmacy, laboratories and physical and occupational therapy facilities. It will be staffed with both full-time doctors and mid-level providers as well as professional staff in all other healthcare positions. The 25 beds will be allocated between acute care and long-term care, enabling NPVMC to offer nursing home and rehabilitation services to local residents.
