Apply today for IMMEDIATE CONSIDERATION Facility Information: The Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH), a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), has been providing retired soldiers, airmen, and sailors a place to call home for more than a century and a half. Each site offers independent living, independent living plus, assisted living, long-term care, and memory support options for its residents. The population at each facility will be approximately 600 residents. Compensation: PRN W-2 positionDay Shift: $26.00/hrEvening Shift: $27.00/hrNight and Weekend Shift: $28.00/hrSchedule: The facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is a paid Personnel Orientation. All personnel shall attend a twenty-four (24) hour orientation session before working any shifts. Orientation will be scheduled from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.Eight-Hour Schedules:Day shift: 7:40 am – 4:00 pm ESTSwing shift: 3:30 pm – 12:00 pm ESTNight shift: 11:30 pm – 8:00 am ESTTwelve-Hour Schedules (these shifts are generally for weekends and Holidays):Day shift: 7:00 am – 7:30 pm ESTNight shift: 7:00 pm – 7:30 am ESTCNA Transport Shift – anytime between 7 am – 6:30 pm ESTProfessional Requirements: -Active license in good standing with the state of Mississippi -Have one year of practical experience in geriatric care. -Proper certification for IVs by LPN/LVNs is required. -Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification to include cognitive and skills evaluation. -Documentation of current influenza vaccination by the end of November /each year). -Documentation of hepatitis B immunity, either by vaccination or serologic testing. -Current TB test CNA Core Duties.Provide comprehensive care appropriate to CNA training and licensure qualifications to residents based on the physician's medical plan, nursing care plan, and physical and psychosocial needs. Answer call bells, deliver messages, serve meals, make beds, and help with eating, dressing, and bathing; reposition residents; take temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure; assist with transfers. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Take and record routine and special vital signs.Collect and testing of urine and stool specimens.Apply simple bandages.Provide personal care, including bathing, feeding, shaving, and oral hygiene.Report results from enema administration by licensed nursing staff.Collect and transport dirty linen.Retrieve clean linen supplies.Adhere to defined AFRH-G nursing policies and advanced procedures such as:Observe resident's condition; recognizes, identifies and notifies appropriate supervisor or nurse of potentially serious situations. ADL skills training including re-feeding program, re-ambulation, bowel and bladder toileting.Measures and records vital signs and other body measurements.Work in all assignment areas within the AFRH-G including: Ambulatory Care, Assisted Living Unit (ALU), Dementia, and Long Term Care Unit (LTCU) and Home Health areas.Monitor stock inventories and documents utilization appropriately.
