* Position Summary This position consists of 36 hours per week.
* Assists in providing age-specific, pediatric through geriatric, patient centered care in accordance with respective unit-based protocols.
Under the direct supervision of the RN, the CNA performs specific delegated tasks as they relate to ADLs and the promotion of outcome-based patient centered care in a variety of settings.
* Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
* Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
* License/Certifications: Graduate of an accredited CNA program.
BLS within three months of hire.
Certification Training in De-escalation preferred.
* Experience: Experience: One year of internal CNA experience preferred, with a minimum 6 months in an acute care setting required.
Ability to float and work within a variety of hospital inpatient settings and the emergency department.
* In good standing on the Maine State CNA Registry.
* Demonstrates the ability to effectively interact with multiple and diverse patient populations.
* Demonstrates competency with multiple computer applications.
