Position Summary This position consists of 24 hours per week. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing ICU, Clinical Supervisor, or charge nurse, the ICU CNA performs these major functions: Assists the licensed nurse and other members of the health care team in the delivery of direct care to patients in ICU, performs secretarial, receptionist and computer functions, observes ICU and Telemetry cardiac monitors reporting alarms to charge nurse, and must work effectively with medical and nursing staffs, administration, support and ancillary services, at all times maintaining a co-operative working relationship. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. License/Certifications: Certification as a nursing assistant and current registry with the State of Maine.
CPR. Experience: Previous experience in a clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of alarms on cardiac monitoring equipment. Good organizational skills. Computer skills.
