JOB REQUIREMENTS: CNAs at WVHUG provide direct and indirect patient care, following standards set by the American Nurses Association; gerontological nursing practice; federal, state and Veterans Administration regulations; and the mission, philosophy, policies and procedures of this agency.
Job duties include providing care per a written care plan to help meet the needs of WVHUG members, including care for members with dementia.
CNAs work as an integral part of the health care team, under the direction of licensed nursing staff, with limited supervision by a Nursing Supervisor.
Job Details These are flexible part-time positions with the option to pick up additional hours as desired with no required overtime.
Shifts are available AM, PM, NOC, holidays and weekends.

LTE jobs are limited to 1,039 hours in a 12-month period and do not include employee benefits.

Job duties require the ability to assist in patient mobility efforts, stand and/or walk up to 75% of eight-hour day to provide assessments, kneel, stoop, make visual observations, lift, push, pull, carry, reach, maintain hygiene, use special safety equipment, and wear protective clothing.
