Meridian Health Services is currently seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist for our location in Mooresville, IN. The Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) will work to engage patients while providing peer support services, serving as a patient advocate and facilitating non-clinical skills/support groups under supervision of licensed clinician.
Duties and Responsibilities: Assist patients in articulating personal goals for recoveryAssist clinicians in the development of a treatment and discharge planIdentify barriers to recovery goalsAssist patients in the identification of their personal strengths in daily living and recovery skillsFacilitate non-clinical skills groups under supervisionTeach patients how to identify and overcome fears of recoveryAssist patients in building social skills by demonstrating and reinforcing proper conduct and respectful interactionDemonstrate appropriate self-care for sustained recoveryOther duties as assignedQualifications: High School diploma or its equivalent requiredCompletion of the DMHA state-approved training program plus passing score on state exam requiredSelf-identification of a person in recovery of substance use requiredMinimum of two (2) years' experience in Human Services field requiredAssociate's degree preferredMeridian Health Services provides the following benefits: Health, dental, vision plansMerit based compensation planVoluntary benefits, including critical illness, short term disability, etc.Generous PTO planWellness planLife balance oriented organizationDrug screen, TB test, extensive background check, and fingerprinting are required of all Meridian employees.
