Certified Speech Language Pathologist

To provide identification, intervention, and special services to students with language, speech, and hearing disorders to help reduce or eliminate speech and hearing impediments that may interfere with students' ability to derive full benefit from the district's educational program.

RequirementsPupil Personnel Services Certificate with appropriate endorsements, such as Speech-Language PathologistAbility to effectively apply the principles of assessment, treatment, and prevention of speech, language, and hearing disordersDemonstrated knowledge in the field of speech-language pathologyWorks well with students, staff, and the publicExcellent organizational skills, interpersonal, and communication skillsMaintain confidentiality of staff and students All certificated and non-certificated employees and other individuals are required to undergo a criminal history check and submit to fingerprinting. Any applicant convicted of any of the felony crimes enumerated in Section 33-1208, Idaho Code may not be hired, and any applicant convicted of any felony offense listed in Section 33-1208(2), Idaho Code shall not be hired.
