Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. ResponsibilitiesExercises critical thinking skills in all aspects of the FA role.Establishes and maintains a safe operative environment.Provides technical first assistance to the primary surgeon in the operating room.Partners with the physician to enhance the effectiveness of patient care.Provides excellent customer service to patients and staff ensuring UT Health and departmental objectives are maintainedOther duties as assigned QualificationsJob Requirements: Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology programSuccessful completion of an approved FA courseProficient in scrubbing all specialties with a minimum of 3 years of experienceCurrent Certification in Surgical TechnologyCurrent Certification as a First AssistantCurrent BLS
