COME JOIN OUR TEAM AS A RECREATION THERAPIST AT CHAMBERLIN HEALTHCARE CENTER!The Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist will provide therapeutic recreation services to adult patients including evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation of an individualized treatment program and related documentation and communication.ResponsibilitiesEngages in population appropriate communication.Gives clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment.Involves family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient.Identifies any physical limitations of the patient and deploys intervention when necessary.Recognizes and responds appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems.Interprets population related data and plans care appropriately.Complete a functional assessment of the patient using appropriate therapeutic assessment tool.Develop individualized treatment programs consistent with patient's diagnosis, status, and goals.Establish a plan of care that includes realistic and measurable goals in relation to the patient's goals, diagnosis, prognosis, learning ability of patient and caregiver, physical/mental status, and anticipated lifestyle.Make recommendations for discharge, including appropriate referrals.Develop and implement an individualized treatment program in collaboration with the treatment team that is consistent with patient diagnosis, status, and goals.Develop and implement patient activities in collaboration with other team members as appropriate.Identify patients appropriate for activities based on functional status.Lead/co-lead therapeutic groups and individual activities for patients.We have a great knowledgeable staff, and we are looking for someone that wants to be a part of an experienced, caring team.
