Chain Integrations Engineering Manager

Axelar has ambitious goals to connect 1000+ blockchains via its permissionless self-serve frameworks: Interchain Amplifier and Axelar network. The Chain Integrations Engineering Manager will work closely with Engineering to formalize and execute an integration and scaling plan for key blockchains and L2 stacks. 
As the engineering manager for the Chain Integrations team, you will oversee a team of engineers responsible for adding new chains to the Axelar network. This role requires strong technical knowledge and an ability to mentor and guide a team effectively.
Grow the coverage of the Axelar network by supporting EVM and non-EVM chains.
Find new ways to speed up the integration of new chains.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Work with cross-functional teams such as BD and Marketing to define and constantly revisit the list of chains to integrate. 
Ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and development methodologies are upheld, emphasizing security and scalability.
Facilitate design and code reviews, offering technical guidance and constructive feedback.
Develop strategies for technical debt management and continuous improvement, optimizing performance and maintainability.
Support career development for engineers, conducting regular one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and coaching.
8+ years in software development, with 2+ years in a managerial or lead role within Web3.
Experience managing integrations for exchanges or custodians is a big plus.
Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and grow a team of engineers, balancing technical oversight with team mentorship.
Strong organizational skills with a history of driving projects from concept to completion on schedule.
Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with remote teams and translating technical concepts for cross-functional stakeholders.
