**Job Description:**

United Natural Foods (UNFI) is looking for a dedicated and motivated Chat Support Associate to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, addressing their inquiries and providing support through chat channels. You will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while fostering a collaborative work environment with colleagues across the globe.

**Key Responsibilities:**

1. **Customer Engagement:**
- Respond promptly and accurately to customer inquiries using various chat platforms, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while engaging with customers.

2. **Issue Resolution:**
- Analyze customer issues effectively and provide timely solutions or escalate them to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Document customer interactions and follow-up actions in our CRM system.

3. **Product Knowledge:**
- Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of UNFI's products and services to better assist customers and enhance their shopping experience.
- Keep up to date with product availability, promotions, and policies to provide accurate information and recommendations to customers.

4. **Collaboration:**
- Collaborate with team members across various departments to ensure smooth operations and a seamless customer experience.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and suggestions for improving processes and customer service.

5. **Performance Monitoring:**
- Assist in tracking and reporting chat metrics to evaluate performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of service quality.
- Identify trends in customer inquiries and provide feedback to leadership for potential product or process adjustments.

6. **Training and Development:**
- Engage in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and stay informed about new product offerings and service protocols.
- Mentor new team members and support their onboarding process through sharing best practices.

**Requirements:**

**Qualifications:**

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a customer support role, preferably in an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Proven experience in chat support and customer interaction via digital platforms.

**Skills:**

- **Independent and Self-Motivated:** Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision, managing tasks and prioritizing responsibilities.
- **Teamwork:** Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse teams and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
- **Persuasion:** Skill in effectively communicating ideas and information to persuade and influence customers positively.

**Technical Skills:**

- Proficiency in using customer support software and CRM systems.
- Familiarity with chat platforms and online communication tools.
