One temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position in Chemistry.
Start Date
Position available on or after August 26, 2024 and ending on or before May 31, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.
Job Description/Duties
Duties include but are not limited to:
Assist in manning the stockroom window during lab classes to provide assistance to lab students with materials requests and any other issues that arise during lab.
Assist in cleaning and maintenance of lab spaces, stockroom, lab equipment, and glassware.
Assist in preparation of lab materials including specialized labels for chemical containers, chemical solutions, specialized equipment and waste containers.
Aid in maintenance of safety documentation for the stockroom and research spaces.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrates academic standing at the sophomore level or higher.
Demonstrates completion of General Chemistry 1 & 2 (CHEM 1102 & CHEM 1112).
Required Qualifications:
Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
Salary Range
$16.00 per hour.
