Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) (Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000+ bonus) LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Chief Accounting Officer for a prestigious family office in Dallas, TX, within the financial services industry. The CAO will oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and strategic financial planning for high-net-worth individuals and their related entities.
The ideal candidate will hold an active CPA license and have a minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a family office environment. Additionally, they should have at least five years of experience in a management or supervisory role, with a strong understanding of financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities: Manage all aspects of financial accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.Oversee cash flow management, budgeting, forecasting, and investment activities, collaborating with senior leadership and external advisors.Prepare and present detailed monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with analysis on financial performance, variances, and cash positions.Provide strategic financial recommendations and insights to support decision-making by family office principals.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, ensuring competence and adherence to best practices in financial reporting and cash management.Collaborate with senior management and family members on financial strategies, supporting special projects, acquisitions, estate planning, and philanthropic initiatives.Client Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting.Active CPA license is required.Minimum of 10 years of relevant accounting experience.Experience in public accounting.Financial services experience.At least 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role.Pay Details: $200,000.00 to $250,000.00 per year
