Overview: The Chief engineer will take charge of an entire engineering department, leading a team as they complete various projects. Chief engineer will work alongside other engineers and technicians, approving designs, calculating costs, negotiating contracts, and executing plans safely and efficiently. Job Descriptions: Communicating project goals and company objectives to other engineers and team members Responsible for the leadership of design, development, and implementation of multiple platforms, peripherals, and applications using a range of applicable technologies software engineering methodologies. Applies strong analytical problem solving for complex issues. Effectively leads interactions with key stakeholders to drive the design, implementation, integration, and deployment of capabilities. Serves as an expert and assists lower-grade personnel and provides technical guidance and information to meet requirements. Review, assist and mentor lower-grade employee's work for quality, accuracy of work. Applies technical experience and leadership skills throughout all phases of acquisition. Effectively manages and leads cross-functional teams, addressing complex programs, issues, and problems. Remains abreast of all applicable technical advancements and participates in technical advising with key stakeholders. Develops approaches to solve analytical problems and documents methodologies. Submits suggestions for new opportunities and reports user/customer problems.
