Chief Engineer

Description

Lead and oversee all property maintenance department activities in Cincinnati, OH.
Manage property aesthetics, equipment, painting, plumbing, and fundamental systems operations.
Recognize life/safety protocols and equipment, promptly informing the General Manager (GM) of any issues.


Responsibilities

•Effectively manage the department budget, capital expenditures, and engineering-related objectives
•Hire, train, schedule, and manage maintenance staff
•Ensure a safe environment that protects the assets, guests, and all hotel associates
•Ensure all equipment is maintained
•Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with all codes and regulations

Qualifications

•High school diploma or equivalent GED
•Exceptional follow-through; strong organizational skills, and time management skills required
•3-5 years of hotel or building maintenance or engineering experience required
•When required, be available at the hotel during bad weather conditions
•Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
•Ability to stand during the entire shift
