We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced CFO to join our dental chip startup MyDentalWig.
Our CFO will direct the overall financial plans, securities, and accounting practices of the company.
Oversees treasury, accounting, insurance, HR, budget, tax, and audit activities.
Oversees financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and statistical reports for management and/or Board use.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP principles, supervisory experience, and possess excellent interpersonal and analytical skills.
Requirements Directs our company's accounting and financial activities and is responsible for quality assurance for these functions.Must have securities knowledge and expertise.Prepares monthly and year-end financial statements and operating reports with accuracy and timeliness.Maintain account reconciliations relative to the Balance Sheet.Review of trial balance and balance sheets at month-end.Analyze expenses and monthly trends.Review and prepare month-end closing.Preparation, review, and control of journal entries and postings to the general ledger.Train and build up the foundation of an Accounting & Office Staff.Coordinate with accounting staff and other departments to ensure accurate, timely financial statements.Review and make recommendations on improving internal controls to enhance financial condition.Year-end financial review.
Prepare year-end work papers and coordinate with outside auditing firm to complete the annual review.Communicate with our outside tax accounting firm to provide estimated book earnings so that income tax payments can be calculated.Prepare month-end financial reports including Balance Sheet, P&L, Gross Profit analysis, and an analytical review for owners.Skills and Experience:
MBA or PhD in Accounting or Finance required.10 years' experience in wholesale distribution, manufacturing, including inventory control and managing the general ledger.Expert in securities and navigating the demands and needs of the SEC.5 years of supervisory and management experience, preferably managing a team.Ability to direct and coordinate the activities of managers and staff in all administrative areas; and to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and graphically, both internally and externally.Ability to work as a key member of the firm's management team with a focus on maintaining the firm's financial and cultural health.Review, recommend and implement process changes.Monitors cash and funding balances.Maintain a strong banking relationship and provide all necessary documentation.Review general & liability insurance along with EPL to ensure adequate coverage is maintained.Review workers' compensation policies while working with our broker.Coordinates and directs the company's corporate risk insurance coverage so adequate and proper coverage is maintained on facilities and business activities while minimizing the cost of the program.Oversee all HR functions performed by our outside consulting firm.Coordinates potential legal claims with the owners, business insurance broker, and legal counsel.Work as a team player with other staff and communicate in a professional and courteous manner with co-workers and customers alike.Has excellent communication skills and demonstrates leadership in team building and motivation.Has proven ability to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results.Demonstrates a strong work ethic and business acumen.Accepts new challenges and responsibilities with enthusiasm.Has a calm and professional approach with peers and staff.Manages Accounting department including A/P and A/R as well as a staff accountant.Proficient with integrated accounting software, report writers, and MS Office Suite.Strong knowledge of GAAP and FASB pronouncements.Strengths: IntegrityMeticulousnessSecurities and exchange proIf you are a dedicated professional with a solid financial background and meet the above qualifications, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
