Your way to impactThe CFO oversees and is entrusted to optimize the financial and accounting operations and is responsible for directing the financial functions of the organization in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. This executive position will also embrace value added finance and drive strategic financial decision making, financial operations, and company goals to create value and leverage finance as a competitive edge in the market.
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and proceduresParticipate in the development of the corporation's plans and programs as a strategic partnerPlan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performanceProvides timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist ownership in performing their responsibilitiesEnsures compliance with federal, state and local requirements, consulting with outside advisors and filing financial reportsOptimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash positions.Engages with Clients, Subcontractors, and Project Managers on matters of managing project cost, contract adherence, and Accounts Payable.Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls.Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.Maintains and prepares all financial documents necessary for multi-state tax preparation.Prepare monthly Payroll, federal and state tax filings.What you bringMinimum of 12+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership positionProven track record of success in financial management and strategic planning, preferably within the construction industryStrong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex financial data to inform decision-making to meet goals aligned by executive staffExperience implementing financial frameworks to meet strategy goals and correlation to value creation within the business modelDemonstrated communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholdersStrategic thinker with the ability to anticipate future trends and proactively address challenges and opportunitiesAdvanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis techniques, financial reporting standards and best practicesExperience with financial systems and ERP software. Preferred experience with Quickbooks, NetSuite, GreatPlains, Sage, or similar industry toolsAdvanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position is responsible for the direct supervision of the employees in the accounting and administrative department.
Working conditionsHybrid in the Broomfield, CO office and work from home with flexible hours of work. Minimal travel is expected for this position. This is a full-time position, reporting to the CEO and COO.
