OverviewThe Healthy Back Institute is seeking a results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide strategic financial leadership. This role is ideal for a seasoned financial executive with experience in D2C, CPG companies with a focus on Health & Wellness ideally. Our next CFO will have a strong background in financial strategy, forecasting, and reporting. You will play a critical role in driving profitability and guiding our financial operations as we scale.

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Strategy and Forecasting: Develop and implement effective financial strategies tailored to our growth objectives, ensuring accurate forecasting and budgeting processes.Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial reports, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and transparency for stakeholders.Driving EBITDA: Identify and execute initiatives to optimize costs and enhance profitability, with a focus on driving EBITDA growth.Market Experience: Utilize your experience working with companies at a similar growth stage to inform and influence go-to-market strategies.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, effectively communicating with investors, stakeholders, and team members.CPG and DTC Expertise: Leverage knowledge of consumer packaged goods and direct-to-consumer business models to guide financial decision-making.Operational Transition: Lead the process of bringing financial operations in-house, ensuring that systems and processes are efficient and scalable.E-commerce Insight: Provide financial insights that support our e-commerce initiatives, enhancing our online growth strategy.Financial Management Software: Manage the transition of financial teams to financial management software (NetSuite), ensuring successful implementation and user adoption.Proprietary Systems: Oversee the management of financial operations within proprietary systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA ideal, but not required.8+ years of experience in financial leadership roles, particularly within D2C or CPG environments.Proven track record of successful forecasting, budgeting, and driving profitability.Strong regulatory knowledge and the ability to navigate financial compliance.Exceptional strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience in bringing financial operations in-house and working with financial management software (e.g., NetSuite).Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.Please Note: Before applying for the role, know that we take hiring very seriously.
