Opportunities for Otsego is seeking a highly qualified financial professional to lead our fiscal team. The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) must be able to adapt to a continually evolving environment and thrive in an autonomous and deadline-oriented workplace.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $99,000 annually
Pay Range Guide: Standard Start Rate - education and experience meet job requirementsAdvanced Start Rate - education and experience exceed job requirements (subject to approval)Benefits available to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO): Health, dental, vision, and other optional benefitsPaid vacation and sick timeEmployer Health Savings Account (HSA) contributions on eligible plans403(b) Retirement PlanEmployee Assistance ProgramLocal, state, and national training and certification opportunitiesEligibility for our Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program (more information available via our website)Most Important Responsibilities of the Chief Financial Officer: Ensuring timely and accurate completion of payroll and related processesOverseeing all compliance and recognition for government (federal and state) contracts and private grantsOverseeing cash flow planning, cash investments and asset management, financing strategies and activities, banking relationshipsCoordinating the development and monitoring of budgetsCoordinating audits and proper filing of tax returnsRequirements of the Chief Financial Officer (CFO): Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Fiscal Management or related fieldA Certified Public Accountant is preferredA minimum of three years' experience in fund accounting, preferably non-profit accountingUnderstanding of generally accepted accounting principles for non-profit agencies, knowledge of OMB Uniform Grants Guidance, and other applicable regulationsStrong technological skills with experience in financial and human resource management softwareRelevant supervisory and management experienceA valid, unrestricted New York State driver's license
