Position OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position is an executive position critical to the success of Jessie Trice Community Health System, Inc. (JTCHS), its mission and strategic goals. The candidate will report to the President & CEO and work collaboratively with other Executive Team members. The CFO is responsible for communication of financial information to all levels of employees and has major responsibilities in areas of accounting, finance, operations, managed care, and purchasing.
Minimum QualificationsMaster's degree in accounting, finance, and/or business administration, or equivalent business experience. CPA is preferred but not required.Minimum five years of progressively responsible experience in a safety-net healthcare organization or hospital with multiple federal, state, and local governmental funding streams, private insurance, as well as Medicare and Medicaid.Additional executive/senior management level experience may replace some of the educational requirements.Experience supervising other leaders at the executive or senior manager level.Experience with a FQHC or "FQHC look-a-like".Must be technology savvy, especially using Excel spreadsheets and computerized ledger systems; familiarity with SAGE 300 or similar accounting software would be a plus.Excellent communication (oral & written) and people skills are required.Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills.
