The Chief Information Officer will manage and direct the organization toward its primary technological objectives, based on long-term product and profitability goals. This will be accomplished by performing the following duties, either personally or through subordinate managers.
Responsibilities Establish current and long range objectives, plans, and policies, subject to approval by Board of Directors.Create a technical vision for the company and plans for implementation of new technical projects or product lines.Dispense advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans and procedures, consistent with established policies and Board approval.Work with product development, sales, and marketing to discern competitiveness of new technologies.Review operating results of the organization, compare them to established objectives, and take steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.Create technical budgets, allocate resources, and determine schedule of product releases or project deadlines.Plan and direct all investigations and negotiations pertaining to technical aspects of mergers, joint ventures, acquisition of businesses, or sales of major assets, with approval of Board of Directors.Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the organization.Analyze new technologies and run competitive analyses.Represent organization with major customers, shareholders, and the public.Manage personnel in the IT department, including: interviewing, hiring, training, appraising performance, and rewarding/disciplining employees; planning, assigning and directing the work of same personnel.Manage the departmental budget and understand cost drivers for human capital and creative solutions to manage productivity.Some travel will be required for this position.Qualifications Master's degree in business, communications, or a related field from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 4-10 years of related experience and/or training.May be required to have a valid driver's license.Effective presentation skills.Ability to analyze and interpret written materials, from professional journals to government regulations.Able to write reports and procedure manuals.Knowledge of accounting, design, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software.Knowledge of contact management, human resource and payroll systems.Compensation: $330,000 - $350,000 per year SBM Management Services, LP and its affiliates are proud to be equal opportunity workplaces.
