About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the development and maintenance of its campus-wide information security program. The CISO will be responsible for establishing and enforcing information security policies, standards, and practices, as well as ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. This includes leading the response to information security incidents, conducting risk assessments, and managing the university's cybersecurity IT architecture. The role also involves serving as the primary liaison to various organizations and providing leadership and visibility in the field of information security.Applicants for the CISO position at the company must have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree or equivalent work experience. A Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar certification is required within the first six months of employment. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' of experience in information security, extensive knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, and a proven track record in team management and leadership. Technical skills in areas such as network and system administration, application development, and database administration are also valued. The CISO should be a strong communicator, capable of engaging with both technical and non-technical staff, and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate with senior leadership and external partners.
