Opportunity DetailsCedar Hill Regional Medical Center GW Health, slated to open in early 2025, is seeking an exceptional and experienced Chief Medical Officer who resides and practices in the DMV metropolitan area to join our administrative team and lead our medical staff and patient care programs at the Hospital.
The ideal candidate will have at least 15+ years of clinical practice and CMO or comparable experience.
Reporting to the CEO, the CMO will have administrative responsibility and oversight for monitoring and ensuring uniform and continuity of patient care within the professional medical services and integrated delivery system of CHRMC and GW Health.
The CMO is also responsible for collaborating with George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates (GW MFA) on patient care, education, and research.
Opportunity Highlights: Join the founding administrative team at a brand-new GW Health hospitalPosition is a .5 FTECandidate will ideally also maintain a clinical practice, preferably with GW FMACompetitive compensationBonus structurePosition Requirements: Medical degree from an accredited medical schoolMaster's or Physician Executive advanced degree or certification preferred (MBA, MHA, MPH, MMM, FACHE)Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency programCurrent board certification specialty in specialty of trainingActive District of Columbia medical licenseStrong communication and leadership skillsAbility to lead, mentor and manage medical, clinical and hospital staffExperience in hospital operations, medical staff policies and procedures, and quality and utilizationPosition Responsibilities: Oversight and leadership of the medical staff and care management programs at CHRMC GWHDevelop and recommend changes in policies, clinical programs, facilities, and equipment related to patient careSupport Chief Quality Officer in translating Hospital Patient Safety and QI programs into sustainable, effective and measurable actionsWork closely with the Medical Executive Committee on strategic direction, policies, and committee appointmentsOversee credentialing, medical management, and clinical evaluation activitiesRepresent clinical activities of the Hospital to the Governing BoardEnsure prioritization of Patient Satisfaction and HCAHPS activitiesParticipate in continuing development, implementation, and utilization of clinical information technologyEstablish and monitor the extensive procedures required by The Joint Commission and D.C.
