Chief Medical Officer Near North Chicago (Serving the areas of Buck town, Humboldt Park, West Town, Wicker Park, Logan Square and Austin) My client is a financially sound 200 bed hospital in the heart of Chicago's near north side. Located in one of the 'hottest' areas of the city, it is an easy commute/El ride from Downtown, the northern, northwest and western suburbs. This award winning hospital has engaged our firm to find a strong CMO with a desire and passion to share his or her knowledge with a tenured staff. This position will be a key member of this busy management team. They are affiliated with both Northwestern and Children's hospitals! Liaison to the Medical Staff Establishes processes and policies designed to ensure two-way communication between the Medical Staff and the administrators of the Hospital. Facilitates the activities of the Medical Staff and provides support to the initiatives of the President and Officers of the Medical Staff. In collaboration with Administration, develops and maintains physician contracts with Hospital policies and practices. Actively supports initiatives to ensure with compliance with Medical Staff bylaws, process and procedures. Assists MEC in oversight of physician adherence to Bylaws and regulatory standards. Physician Recruitment and Retention Participates in assessment of Hospital needs with regard to physicians; actively participates in the recruitment process. Assists in planning growth and revenue enhancement activities as they related to increased admissions. Assesses and acts to improve physician satisfaction. Education and Training Coordinates all of the Hospitals education programs including undergraduate, graduate (Family Medicine and Podiatry Residencies) and continuing medical education.Provides supervision and oversight of the staff to support CME and the Medical Library.Creates policies and guidelines to effectuate policies and practices to provide education and training to Medical and other NAH staff members.Management of Medical Staff Services DepartmentSupervises the staff of the Medical Staff, CME and Library Services to ensure compliance with Hospital Policy.
