Location: San Francisco, California Job Type: Contract Compensation Range: $105 - 110 per hour We are seeking a Chief of Staff – CMO to drive strategic alignment and operational efficiency within the marketing organization. This role will involve drafting key business reports, finalizing annual plans, and optimizing team structure and workflows. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, partner with the CEO's Chief of Staff to drive executive reviews, and ensure alignment across departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to manage internal communications, track performance metrics, and collaborate with teams to execute key business objectives and improve organizational health.
Responsibilities: Establish and maintain alignment on strategic planning, including drafting Quarterly Business Reports and finalizing the 2025 annual plan.Support organizational health by reviewing, refining, and executing improvements to team structure, identifying and addressing skill gaps, optimizing workflows, and aligning internal processes.Lead the priorities of the Marketing Leadership Team by organizing weekly meetings, shaping offsite gatherings, and pinpointing ways to boost team efficiency.Partner with the Chief of Staff to the CEO to lead executive business reviews, communicate key priorities, actions, and outcomes across the organization, and ensure deliverables are consistently met.Stay attuned to organizational needs, maintaining a strong feedback loop.Facilitate internal communications within the Marketing team and the broader organization, while managing ad-hoc strategic projects to identify new opportunities, execute key initiatives, and address business and operational gaps.Track and drive the organization's OKRs, KPIs, and executive performance reporting.Collaborate cross-functionally with executives and teams to deliver on key initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments.Partner with Finance, People, and other teams to support employee satisfaction, optimize recruitment processes, allocate headcount, manage training and facilities, and oversee budget management.Qualifications: 10+ years of experience with hands-on expertise and strategic leadership in areas like planning, process management, organizational change, and strategy execution; an MBA or related degree is advantageous.Experience or fluency with Marketing functions within a high-growth technology environment preferred.Ability to quickly understand various business areas, identify priorities, and aid executive decision-making.Proven track record in tracking, prioritizing, and driving multiple projects to completion.Skilled in using data and metrics to communicate needs and guide business decisions.Excellent communicator with the ability to lead, facilitate, and influence at all organizational levels.Entrepreneurial mindset, high tolerance for ambiguity, and resourceful in lean environments.Experience in strategic planning within fast-growing organizations.A trusted advisor with strong integrity, low ego, and a proactive approach to anticipate the needs of executives and their teams.Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
