The Physical Measurement Laboratory of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) anticipates the need for a Division Chief for its Time and Frequency Division (TFD) (http://www.nist.gov/pml/div688/).
The TFD has 47 technical staff, 8 administrative staff, and over 60 students, postdoctoral researchers, visiting scientists, and contractors.
Its technical staff consist primarily of physicists and electrical engineers with doctoral degrees.
The division maintains the standard for frequency and time interval for the United States, provides official time to the United States, and carries out a broad program of research and service activities in time and frequency metrology.
The principal duties for the division are performed on the NIST Boulder, Colorado campus.
The division also maintains radio towers near Ft. Collins, CO and on Kauai, Hawaii for broadcasting standard time and frequency signals.
Minimum Qualifications: Research and management experience.A degree in physics, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.U.S.

The salary range for the position is presently $163,964 - $191,900 per annum.
