This groundbreaking technology is integral to our product offerings, including one of our flagship products, Unity Complete, the only non-invasive prenatal screen capable of assessing fetal risk for both common recessive conditions and aneuploidies from a single maternal blood sample.
We are looking for a highly impactful Chief Operating Officer (COO) role that will oversee non-R&D and non-commercial day-to-day operations.
This pivotal role will establish the operational systems necessary to scale the company from 500 to 2000 employees and grow revenues from $150M ARR to $1B ARR over the next five years, while maintaining our high standards of operational excellence and strong company culture.
The COO is a hybrid position and reports directly to our CEO.
Responsibilities: Collaborate closely with the CEO and the rest of the executive team to implement and drive the company goalsLead and manage functions including Laboratory Operations, Quality, IT, People Ops, and, over time, Legal and ReimbursementDrive the implementation of robust operational processes, systems, and scalable solutions to support BillionToOne's next chapter of 10x growthEnsure operational practices align with BillionToOne's mission and values, maintaining a strong transparent cultureFacilitate a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, emphasizing recruiting and retention of talent, maintaining an impressively high bar for employees, and implementing robust learning & development processes to enable their potentialImplement processes to maintain and improve high quality in operations while achieving operational excellence and continuous improvements in COGSSupport the company's preparation to go public, ensuring profitability and strong financial managementRequirements: Proven experience as either GM of a large division or SVP of Global Operations at a large-cap company (market cap $10B+)Experience overseeing at least $100M P&L and 500 employeesExperience managing a hypergrowth division/organization (at least 50% YoY revenue growth)Demonstrated success in leading diverse functions, including laboratory operations, quality, people operations, and IT/ISExpert in instituting company-wide initiatives that drive operational effectiveness, scalability, and a strong cultureDiagnostics experience is essential; CLIA experience is preferableFor this position, the base salary is $300,000+ per year with an annual bonus at plan of 30% and stock options valued at $1M/year, for a total compensation of $1.4M per year.
