Details of the offer

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The primary responsibility of the COO is to secure the functionality of the ministry to drive extensive and sustainable growth. To drive the strategic plan of the CEO; to oversee the daily administrative and operational functions of the business and ministry operations by overseeing operational budgets, optimizing business processes, monitoring key performance indicators, and ensuring effective utilization of resources. The COO will have the following as direct reports: Director of Operations & Human Resources, Director of Patient Services; and Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

Preferably have a bachelor's degree in business, finance or relevant field; MBA a plus.

Outstanding organization and leadership ability.

Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.

Extreme discretion and sensitivity to confidential matters is required.

Demonstrates competency in strategic planning and business development.

Aptitude in decision making and problem solving.

Understanding of business functions such as HR, Finance, Marketing.

Understanding of CA licensed medical clinic policies and procedures in a life affirming environment.

Working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics.

Fundraising experience is a plus.

Volunteer management is a plus.

Excellent working knowledge of Labor Laws, payroll basics, HR functions & best practices.

Is highly proficient in G Suite applications, especially Sheets, Docs, and Google Drive.

Agrees with the Organization's Statements of Principle and Mission; and the Philosophies of Service; is a team player with a servant's attitude.

Responsibilities

Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth of all departments.

Design and implement business strategies, plans, and procedures.

Establish company policies that promote ministry culture and vision.

Oversee operational budget. Track operational performance against monthly, quarterly and/or annual budgets, ensuring operations stay within budget and/or alerting CEO about variances.

Oversee the daily operations and the work of direct reports and clinic managers.

Work closely with the Medical Director and Director of Nursing regarding medical team, services offered, and patient satisfaction.

Assist DON in hiring RN's and Advanced Care Providers (NP/CNM/PA's).

Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication to the mission.

Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics.

Write and submit monthly reports to the CEO on department outcomes.

Assist CEO in fundraising ventures, especially major events (IgniteLife & Walk for Life).

Participate in expansion activities (investments;acquisitions;corporate/community alliances, grants)

Oversee and collaborate with the CEO on future clinic relocation and build out projects, and facility leases.

Oversee the management of relationships with partners (ie.Sparrow, Unitek, Gurnick).
