Chief Operations Officer

The Chief Operations Officer (COO) ensures the successful operation and growth of the branches of the SAY, including membership, program development, staff supervision, risk management, community relations, collaborations, budgeting, and financial results.
The position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
The candidate will have outstanding leadership and teamwork skills along with a commitment to world-class customer service.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, social services, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.Five or more years of professional experience in the YMCA or another nonprofit preferred.Knowledge and experience in all aspects of operations, including staff supervision and development, successful membership practices, quality program development and implementation, volunteerism, facility and property management, and sound financial practices.Knowledge of and experience managing marketing strategies utilizing state-of-the-art marketing and communications tools.Understanding of the nature and purpose of the YMCA and the respective roles of volunteers and staff.Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community; track record of building authentic, constructive relationships with others.YMCA Organizational Leader certification preferred.
