Position Purpose: The responsibility of the Chief People Officer (CPO) will be to steward our aim of Valuing People Over Money, living it out, modeling it for Brand managers, and holding the organization accountable for the results intended. They will be responsible for managing our People Experience (PX) system, function, and process, acting as the top people strategist in our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain the PX systems, processes and function of the organization.
Partner with management to address day-to-day PX operational issues such as employee relations, compensation reviews, escalated benefits issues, performance management and training.
Playing a role in the strategic deliberations of the executive team.
Supervising and leading the PX team in creating an inviting and cohesive employee experience.
Implement and manage compliance efforts with all the employment laws and regulations that govern the private companies relating to all aspects of the employee life cycle.
Act as an employee champion and change agent by anticipating PX-related needs and delivering value added services for the benefit of the employees.
Providing insightful crisis management advice when required.
Maintain an effective level of business literacy including company goals, mission, financial position, strategy, competition, technology and culture.
Investigate claims of misconduct and escalate to legal and security team as required.
Maintaining current knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation to ensure regulatory compliance. Identifies trends that could impact the organization objectives.
Ensuring that the organization's values are reflected in people-oriented decisions.
Develop and manage annual budgets for the department and perform periodic cost reviews and forecasts.
Provide People Experience data, analytics and metrics for management to make wise decisions.
Serve as a 401K Trustee.
Advise the CEO as a key advisor on all matters of PX and the employment market.
Write monthly reports to inform management of the state of our staff and the impact to our operations.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
5-7 years' experience serving an organization(s) as an HR Director or similar role.
A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Communication, Business Administration, psychology, or related degree.
SHRM-CP certification highly preferred.
Experience managing Human Resources in a complex organization with multiple business entities preferred.
