Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist We are seeking a dedicated Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our team at a leading federally qualified health center. In this role, you will provide crucial pediatric mental health care to underserved communities, working in a highly collaborative environment. This position offers both part-time and full-time opportunities, with a strong focus on professional growth, clinical development, and teamwork. Salary: $300,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to children and adolescents, addressing a range of mental health conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, clinical social workers, and other psychiatrists. Participate in weekly team case conference meetings and peer supervision to discuss patient care and treatment strategies. Engage in professional development activities, including 20% clinical development hours to enhance practice skills. Encourage and support patients and their families, providing treatments tailored to their unique needs. Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to community health by participating in outreach and education efforts within the community. Minimum Position Qualifications: MD License required. Board Eligible in Child Psychiatry by the start date. Proven dedication to providing empathetic and effective patient care. Strong communications skills, with the ability to interact positively with children, families, and a multidisciplinary team. Must be flexible and possess a positive attitude towards challenges and change. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience in outpatient settings is highly valued. Experience with underserved populations is a plus. Demonstrated leadership skills in a clinical setting. Ability to innovate and implement new treatment protocols. Fluency in more than one language; especially languages prevalent in the local community. Skills: Excellent clinical skills with the ability to diagnose and treat complex psychiatric disorders. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently. Empathy and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients and their families.
