Description We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chinese Language Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching Chinese language courses, developing engaging curriculum content, and ensuring that learners achieve their language proficiency goals.
As a Chinese Language Trainer, you will utilize your language expertise to create a comprehensive learning experience. You will design course materials, implement effective teaching strategies, and assess learners' progress, fostering a dynamic environment that encourages language acquisition.
Key Responsibilities:
Teach Chinese Language Courses: Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to learners of various proficiency levels, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs.Develop Course Content: Design and create comprehensive course materials, including lesson plans, exercises, assessments, and multimedia resources to enhance learning.Assess Learner Progress: Implement assessment tools to evaluate students' language proficiency and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.Facilitate Learning Activities: Organize language practice sessions, cultural immersion activities, and group discussions to enhance students' conversational skills and cultural understanding.Utilize Technology: Incorporate technology and digital tools into the curriculum to facilitate interactive learning experiences and remote instruction as needed.Stay Updated: Keep abreast of current trends in language education and integrate best practices into your teaching methods and course design.Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with program coordinators and other instructors to align courses with institutional goals and learner needs.Provide Support: Offer additional resources and support to learners outside of class hours, fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment. Basic Qualifications:
Must have an active TS/SCI with polyNative or near-native proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin preferred) and fluent in English.Bachelor's degree in Education, Linguistics, Chinese Studies, or a related field and a minimum of 12 years of experience OR a Masters and a minimum of 10 years of experience.Experience teaching Chinese as a second language in a classroom or training environment.Strong curriculum development skills, with the ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and materials.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching and mentoring.Familiarity with Chinese culture and customs to provide a comprehensive learning experience. Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Range:Pay Range $98,150.00 - $177,425.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
