JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S
Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II
JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges
JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Performs duties as a Chinese Linguist/Document Translator (Scientific and Technical)
• Possesses the ability to fluently read, write, speak and comprehend Chinese and English
• Contributes to compiling, developing, analyzing, producing, and maintaining technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications
• Competency in the use of library filing procedures to include sign-in and sign-out requirements and document control
• Performs Quality Control for all translated documents
• Serves as a liaison with customers at assigned levels
• Serves as the Language Training Lead for the translation team
• Proficient in operating personal computers using programs such as MS Word and Adobe Acrobat
• Possesses knowledge of and or the aptitude to learn and use the following software programs: Paint Shop Pro, Photo Shop, Abbyy Lingvo, and SYSTRAN machine translation programs, in addition to other related translation tools
• Possesses an intermediate to advanced working knowledge of foreign characters in order to transliterate into word processing or database programs, to transcribe and identify documents
• Works closely with system technicians and engineers to ensure all document translation requirements are met
• Provides support to specialized technical groups/committees
• Performs other related duties and tasks as assigned DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• The incumbent must have an AS or equivalent experience and 3 years specialized experience translating foreign technical documents
• The incumbent must possess planning/organizing skills, be able to work under deadlines, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Some positions may require specialized experience in gathering, analyzing, compiling, and developing products on various threat, intelligence, and technological developments derived from the research of databases, films, journals, images, HUMINT, SIGINT, and/or professional contacts
Some positions may require engineering design and advanced computer skills using software products such as CAD and other graphic design programs
• Ability and willingness to travel, work extended hours, including occasional overnight and extended stays
Occasional short notice travel may also be required
• Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance and possess a valid state issued driver's license
• US Citizenship required
• Military Experience a plus
REQUIREMENTS - EDUCATION, TECHNICAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE
The incumbent must have an Associate in Science (AS) or equivalent experience and three years specialized experience in gathering, analyzing, compiling, and developing products on various threat, intelligence, and technological developments derived from the research of databases, films, journals, images, HUMINT, SIGINT, and/or professional contacts
Some positions may require engineering design and advanced computer skills using software products such as CAD and other graphic design programs
In addition, an Intelligence Analyst II (Chinese Linguist) must possess the following qualifications:
• Must possess planning/organizing skills
• Must be able to work under deadlines
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must qualify for and maintain a government security clearance
• Must possess a valid state-issued driver's license
SALARY The expected salary range for this position is $77,880.00 to $79,040 annually

WORKING CONDITIONS
This position involves work typical of an office environment with no unusual hazards
There is occasional lifting to (30) pounds, constant sitting and use of a computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while writing, reviewing and editing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, and constant mental alertness
The incumbent must be able to work duty days in excess of eight hours and perform shift and weekend work to meet required schedule demands
This position may require travel
