Our mission is to benefit the healthcare companies we serve, as well as all our collective employees, and communities.*Job Duties** Perform a series of manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, in order to correct the musculoskeletal system.* Evaluate the functioning of the neuromusculoskeletal system and the spine using systems of chiropractic diagnosis.* Diagnose health problems by reviewing patients' health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and interpreting x-rays.* Maintain accurate case histories of patients.* Advise patients about recommended courses of treatment* Analyze x-rays in order to locate the sources of patients' difficulties and to rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.* Counsel patients about nutrition, exercise, sleeping habits, stress management, and other matters.* Arrange for diagnostic x-rays to be taken* Consult with and refer patients to appropriate health practitioners when necessary.* Suggest and apply the use of supports such as straps, tapes, bandages, and braces if necessary.* Other duties as assigned.*Minimum Requirements** Virginia Doctor of Chiropractic License* Additional courses in physical therapy are advantageous*Additional Skills/Competencies** *Medicine* – Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to diagnose and treat human injuries, diseases, and deformities. This includes symptoms, treatment alternatives, drug properties and interactions, and preventive health-care measures* *Customer and Personal Service* – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
