People are at the heart of what wedo We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Director to leadour vibrant music ministry and inspire our congregation through music!The part-time Music Director plays a vital role in enriching our worshipservices and fostering a love for music within our Methodist community.This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our churchmusic program, from planning and leading worship music to directingchoirs and ensembles. What You\'ll Do: Collaborate with the Pastor toplan and select music that aligns with the liturgical calendar andthematic focus of worship services. Prepare music for worship andspecial events including the adult choir and special music events.Supervise, coordinate, organize music staff and manage volunteersinvolved in music ministry. Select and purchase music within budget,ensuring it is appropriate for the congregation\'s skill level andreflects the Methodist tradition. Oversee the care and maintenance ofmusical instruments. Participate in professional developmentopportunities to stay current on music trends and best practices inchurch music ministry. Represent the music ministry on church committeesand boards. Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for all whoparticipate in the music program. What You\'ll Bring: Strong faithcommitment and a passion for using music to enrich worship experiences.Bachelor\'s degree in Music or equivalent experience in church musicministry. Proven experience leading choirs and ensembles. Excellentmusicianship with proficiency in piano, organ, or another liturgicalinstrument preferred. Strong leadership, communication, andinterpersonal skills. Ability to effectively plan, organize, anddelegate tasks. Familiarity with a variety worship practice is a plus.What We Offer: Competitive salary in the \$21/hour range, with potentialfor higher based on experience.
