Full job description About Us: We are a passionate cidery dedicated to crafting unique and high-quality ciders. Our mission is to push the boundaries of traditional cidermaking by experimenting with new flavors and techniques. We are looking for a creative, organized, and problem-solving individual with a flexible schedule to join our team as a Part-Time Cider Maker.
Responsibilities: Cidermaking Process: Assist in all stages of the cidermaking process from start to finish, including: - Pressing apples and ensuring raw materials are of high quality.
- Initiating fermentations and monitoring progress by taking readings and logging data.
- Racking, carbonating, bottling, and kegging the cider.
Sensory Evaluations: Conduct sensory evaluations of cider to assess taste, aroma, body, and finish. Recipe Development: Collaborate with the team to experiment, create new ciders, and enhance or reproduce current recipes. Fruit Integration: Work with a variety of fruits in the production of ciders. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness of equipment and adhere to good cidermaking practices. Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of experience in the cidermaking industry. Strong passion for cidermaking and a creative approach to developing new flavors. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Problem-solving skills to address challenges in the cidermaking process. Ability to perform sensory evaluations effectively. Flexibility in schedule to accommodate varying work hours.
