Cincinnati is looking for local government professionals with strong leadership skills, political acumen, excellent collaboration skills, and who are familiar with police work to serve as its Citizen Complaint Authority Director. You don't have to have a background in police management for this position!
The mission of the CCA is to investigate serious interventions by police officers, including, but not limited to, discharges of firearms, death in custody, and major uses of force. The CCA also reviews and resolves citizen complaints of law enforcement conduct in a fair and efficient manner.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in public administration, criminal justice or a related field is required. A Master's Degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or a Juris Doctorate is preferred. Five years of administrative and supervisory experience, including familiarity with police misconduct investigations are desired.
