Salary: $55,000 - 65,000/year The Civil CAD Designer will work closely with engineers and project managers to create and modify detailed plans, designs, and technical drawings for various civil infrastructure projects. This position requires proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and convert engineering concepts into accurate and comprehensive design documentation.
\n ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed civil engineering drawings and design plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including site plans, grading, drainage, utility layouts, and roadway designs.Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including grading, drainage, and stormwater management designs.Collaborate with engineers and project teams to ensure designs meet technical specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Review and interpret design concepts, sketches, and engineering calculations to produce accurate and constructible drawings.Modify and update existing plans as required, ensuring alignment with the latest project specifications and regulatory requirements.Perform quality control checks to verify the accuracy and completeness of design documents.Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.Support the preparation of reports, specifications, and other documentation related to project designs.Maintain and organize drawing files and project documentation in accordance with company standards. RequirementsProven experience (1+ years) as a Civil CAD Designer or similar role, with a focus on AutoCAD Civil 3D.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, including grading, drainage, and site development design tools.Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, design practices, and construction methods.Experience with preparation of construction documents and working knowledge of local, state, and federal design standards and regulations.Ability to interpret engineering calculations and apply them to design drawings.Knowledge of civil design software such as Autodesk Revit, MicroStation, or other related software is a plus.
