Your role will involve creating cost estimates for installations, which includes reviewing specifications, conducting takeoffs, aiding in the design process, and identifying essential subcontractors. The complexity and value of these estimates vary based on the type of job, ranging from $0.5 million to $5 million or more.

What you will need/what you will be doing: Analyzes project specifications for construction, including civil and architectural details, comprehending and effectively communicating the requirements Utilizes construction plans, precise take-offs, historical data, and vendor quotations to meticulously prepare and assess project estimates, budgets, and expenses Identifies and assesses critical factors influencing risk, cost, and profitability within a specific design Develops cost estimates for a diverse range of projects, encompassing private, commercial, and municipal sectors Conducts thorough risk analysis to enhance project evaluation Engages in obtaining, scrutinizing, and negotiating offers and quotes from subcontractors or vendors Produces and submits detailed estimate reports, bid proposals, or RFPs to relevant stakeholders such as project managers, clients, and bidding competitions Cultivates strong relationships with key vendors, including subcontractors, suppliers, and engineers Offers expert consultation on project planning, including insights on schedules and manpower requirements Qualifications: Required expertise in civil construction estimating Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license, but not required Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction science, or a related field is preferred Demonstrated experience in estimating or a similar role Familiarity with financial and project management principles Profound knowledge of research, data analysis methods, and estimation formulas Strong mathematical and IT skills coupled with an analytical mindset Proficiency in relevant software, especially Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and project management tools such as MS Project, Plan Swift, ProCore, AGTEK, or similar Exceptional communication and negotiation skills Detail-oriented, with a proven record of thoroughness and reliability; a team player with a proactive attitude Outstanding organizational abilities Capability to estimate multiple projects concurrently ALL CONVERSATIONS ARE STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL * To be considered, please apply with a resume.
