Civil Designer Burgess & Niple is currently seeking a Civil Designer to join our multi-discipline engineering consulting firm in our Oklahoma City Office. This position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our local team and utilize their design and technical expertise on interesting and challenging projects.
Responsibilities:Collaborate with engineers to support the development and execution of transportation drafting and design projects.Utilize your expertise in CAD software to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings.Ensure that all documentation meets client standards, project specifications, and regulatory standards.Possess an understanding and familiarity with the sequence, development, and content of all project stage submittals.Provide valuable support in project development across various regions.Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks on drawings and materials to guarantee accuracy and completeness.Lead design file creation/progression, sheet file creation and progression, and project CAD setup.Assist with the 3D modeling of corridors and creation of corridor templates and assemblies.Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in CAD software.Share knowledge, present, teach, and lead the implementation of new tools and techniques to enhance efficiency and productivity in project design and delivery.Skills and Qualifications:High School Diploma Required; Vocational school or associate degree in related program preferred.5+ years of progressive technical experience in CAD and plan development for transportation engineering design projects.Experience developing plan sets for transportation infrastructure projects in Oklahoma is preferred.Software experience using MicroStation / ORD / Connect / ProjectWise / Bluebeam required.ORD corridor modeling is a plus; AutoCAD experience is a plus.Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.Good communication skills, strong understanding of plan clarity, attention to detail, and a desire to learn.Benefits:Medical, dental and vision insurance.Immediate accrued paid time off.401(k) with match and no vesting schedule.Flexible spending or health savings account options.Basic life insurance/short-term & long-term disability coverage at no cost to the employee with option to purchase supplemental life insurance.Flexible hours and hybrid work schedule options.Tuition assistance.Why B&N?
