Civil Litigation/Insurance Defense Attorney
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Civil Litigation/Insurance Defense Attorney to join our legal team in Miami, Florida.
This role calls for handling a variety of insurance defense cases including general liability, personal injury, and property damage.
The selected candidate will manage cases from inception to resolution, crafting legal strategies that align with our client's needs.
This position encapsulates a balance of courtroom presence, involving depositions and arbitrations, and back-office duties like research and documentation, providing a diverse, dynamic work environment typical of a high-achieving legal practice.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a diverse caseload of insurance defense and civil litigation matters, emphasizing personal injury, property damage, and general liability cases.
Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to construct effective case strategies.
Draft and file a variety of legal documents including pleadings, motions, and other critical correspondence.
Efficiently represent clients across depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances, advocating effectively to safeguard client interests.
Negotiate settlements diligently and explore alternative dispute resolution methods to resolve cases amicably when appropriate.
Provide thorough communication to clients, offering regular updates and strategic advice to ensure clarity and confidence in legal processes.
Collaborate with a team of attorneys and support staff to promote streamlined case management and meet legal deadlines.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active membership in the Florida State Bar, ensuring legality and adherence to state-specific legal protocols.
Proven experience of 3-5 years in insurance defense and civil litigation, underlining practical, real-world legal application.
Comprehensive knowledge of Florida state and federal court procedural requirements, fostering effective legal operations.
Capability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in leading legal teams or managing significant projects in insurance defense.
Advanced certification or training in civil litigation or associated fields.
A track record of successful case resolutions and client satisfaction in previous roles.
Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, essential for client interactions and settlement discussions.
Previous participation in high-profile or complex legal cases.
