Stantec's New England Transportation group is looking for a Civil or Environmental Engineer in Auburn, NH.
We are looking for a Civil or Environmental Engineer with an interest in roadway design, site design, hydrology, hydraulics, utilities, and stormwater treatment.
This entry-level position is for an individual that understands Civil Engineering design fundamentals from education, internship, co-op, or other work experience.
This person will have a positive attitude, be a fast learner, and enjoy working in a team environment.
Your Key Responsibilities What Will You Be Doing?
As a Civil or an Environmental Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and diverse projects in the region and will be joining a growing team of transportation professionals and contribute to projects throughout New Hampshire and New England.
Specific responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, the following:
Use design software on a daily basis to support the design development process Prepare design calculations and quantity take-offs for construction cost estimates. Perform project research and analyze/present data in tabular or graphic format. Contribute to engineering reports and technical studies. Conduct field visits during the design development process. Attend client, agency, and public meetings to see the different phases of a project first-hand. Receive training and mentorship. Be a valued member of project teams. Qualifications Your Capabilities and Credentials Exposure to a computer aided design and drafting software via course work or internship. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Pro-active attitude, attention to detail, desire to learn, punctual, and organized. Ability to work independently when required. Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of civil design. Proficient in Microsoft (MS) Office Suite. Basic understanding of MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Developing cooperative skills in working efficiently with a team. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering. 0-3 years' experience. EIT (or ability to obtain within 1 year) Position will primarily work in an office setting with part time remote work possibility; Will require some field work.
